I started the week being ill actually - not terribly but still doesn't exactly help someone be proactive or whatever. In terms of the Language school things have definitely stepped up - its great that the lessons are taught in Korean - but sometimes it can be frustrating because you only click what you've been talking about the whole time at the end of the lesson haha.
But actually the teaching style is great, they make the lessons fun, and we really drill the vocabulary its great - we always put it straight into practice with role-plays and games. The best thing is when you get something wrong you have to stand up and sing a song in your native language haha. luckily im too much of a prodigal student to have gotten anything wrong yet... yeh. what song do you think i should sing when the fateful time comes eh?
On tuesday i met with Ko again - constantly blown away by his generosity and humility. so we went to the music mall in insadong (at least thats how you say it). Being the worlds best drummer, Ko knows the right people and he took me to a shop where he knew the manager well, and he got me £60 off of my guitar and got them to throw in a case, strap stings plecktrums etc. Legend.

Funnily enough Ko doesn't ever buy his drums there he gets them imported from japan, but he's pretty good at bring people to the store haha.

On wednesday I was talking to this guy and he invited me to a football match, so i said sure, and when i asked him where it was he told me we would be playing at the British embassy! haha, So they put my name on a list and when i arrived they let me through the gate haha, It was pretty cool, a little touch of england - english style buildings. they've got a swimming pool and tennis court and stuff its great. Unfortunately only four of us turned up but we had a great 2 on 2 match, its every wednesday so next time hopefully there will be more people.
I havent managed to work the laundry thing yet so ive been washing all my clothes by hand, and today i gave my room and bathroom a thorough clean. not that thats an interesting fact, but im sure my mother will be comforted by my acts of cleanliness haha. dont worry mum im looking after myself - eating well too. haha.
Okyi, a passionate and somewhat chaotic missionary - who is amazing, came back from the Philippines yesterday so she keeps phoning me trying to find out how much free time i have and telling me how i should - or will - be doing a thousand things haha. She wants me to join taekwondo - teach taekwondo - teach english - be on the worship team, which are all great things and i am sure i will do some of them - but if my life becomes anywhere near as busy as her i think i would break down - so i might try and get out of the english teaching (4 days a week) sort of had enough after the 2 weeks in August! haha, but Okyi can be persuasive - sort in the way that anything she says is automatically mandatory. but you've just got to be straight with her - i just don't to disappoint her or anything. anyway i said i would speak to her properly on sunday. But i hope i dont suddenly become stupidly busy! I mean i would prefer to be someone who struggles because they are busy - than be someone who struggles with apathy but I'm sure there is a sensible line there - and i want to keep some freedom - so i can at least have time for people, and also keep my pace of life fairly low, Plus i feel working at Atkins was adequate training in that area haha, no but seriously keeping open slots is one thing I really want to try and do this year, feeling guilty about resting is stupid because time out can be really important and actually it can often be harder than filling time. anyway getting lost in confusing thoughts.
speak to you again soon!
